- The staff at Tropica Island Resort were incredible, they made us feel like family in their home. Fijian people are genuinely nice and happy people. We loved spending our anniversary vacation at Tropica island resort. Don’t forget to bring water shoes and GoPros to do some reef snorkeling, beautiful sea life and marine preservation program.Yan Purba7/22/2024We stayed at Tropica mid July and the weather was perfect and just as you’d imagine on a beautiful tropical island. We stayed in a beachfront pool Bure but would happily go without the pool next time as the large communal pool is very close by and the sea was warmer than the pools, with snorkelling and kayaking straight off the beach. Tropica is a smaller adults only resort resulting in a peaceful relaxed vibe, where the staff know you by name. Very welcoming, warm and friendly staff and the food was top notch. Would love to go back!Mike Vannoort7/16/2024The location is tremendous - it's nested in a cove that allows for perfect views all around. The resort is very well kept and was always clean and in pristine condition. The bures are very nice and the beds are comfy - the best part about the rooms however was the spacious outdoor shower. The staff were all super friendly and very helpful with everything. The resort only has one restaurant, however the dinner menu changed every night and every meal we had was delicious. I thought we may get tired of the food, but they switched it up daily, and the breakfast and lunch menus were big enough that you could order something new every day. The activities were awesome as well - they had snorkels, paddleboards, and kayaks available for free every day, and then had daily excursions to other beautiful reefs for snorkeling, visits into local villages, and more. Plus, they had interesting activities at the resort daily such as basket weaving, yoga, culture lessons, and coconut shaving. The spa was also wonderful - a variety of services to choose from and some very well-trained staff!James O7/12/2024From the moment you arrive at Tropica to an infectious welcome you feel at home, the location of the Resort is truly stunning.|Our Beachfront Villa was set in park like surroundings and was presented immaculately and kept very clean throughout our stay.|As we are not big eaters we didn't take the meal Plan and found for us that worked out just fine.| We found the food to be of a high standard and varied most nights, As well as the usual continental offerings for Breakfast there is a good menu to choose from. Be sure to try the juice bar!!.|We didn't do any excursions but we did use the kayaks and loved paddling around the bay.|My husband did a dive course while were there and the staff made it an easy process to organise. |We requested to move to another Villa and this process was easily and effortlessly accommodated with a smile.|Perhaps the most lasting impression of Tropica that we have taken away with us is that of the staff, their wonderful infectious smiles, the friendliness, their sense of fun and their wilingness to go the extra mile always with a smile, they truly are the gems in the crown that is the Tropica Resort.Bruce G7/06/2024Tropica Island Resort. How do I review this place in a few short sentences??We had an absolutely amazing holiday here. What an idyllic magical place this is. And it was so quiet and peaceful, being that it’s ADULTS ONLY. The sunsets of an evening during happy hour were so magical. We stayed in a beachfront pool bure. It’s absolutely beach front with beautiful views, your own salt water plunge pool, deck, sun loungers, swing seat. There’s air conditioning inside, tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge, bottled water each day, beautiful modern bathroom with an indoor and private outdoor shower, toilet. There’s no television which is great. But data and cell coverage is excellent. We just used our tablets to watch something of an evening. There is no guest laundry, but you can have your laundry sent away for laundering. This has a 24hrs turn around as it gets sent to the mainland which is expected being that Tropica Island Resort is on Malolo Island. We did utilise this service, and it was back clean and dry the very next day. The cost is fair and comparable to any 4-5 star hotel laundry service.Boat transfers to south sea cruises were excellent. The men got us to and fro safely and assisted us with all luggage.Food and drink options were excellent and tasty. There is an excellent chef at work. The dinner menu changes each day which was fun. We got to try a lot of new and different foods for us.The staff are extremely professional, friendly, helpful, and caring. They helped make our stay wonderful. We can’t thank them all enough for their hospitality and kindness. We truly felt welcomed and part of the family there at Tropica. Thank you to everyone who works there, in front of and behind the scenes. You are all appreciated.FJM7/01/2024The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel that they were there to help us enjoy our stay as much as possible. This was a truly memorable holiday. Vinaka Tropica.Angus McMullen6/30/2024My husband and I were absolutely surprised and the Tropica surpassed all expectations. As soon as we arrived to their 'welcome home' we instantly felt at home with family. The staff there made you feel like one of their own Fijian family members. So much love and respect! We loved how this resort is much smaller than the commercial hotels and everyone got to know you by first name by the end of it. There were no tvs/wifi in our bure (which we thought would be difficult haha) but it turned out so special. We were able to fully relax listening to the ocean and read books and be in the moment. Don't worry there is wifi in the lobby!||The daily activities were amazing! We did massages (ontop of the outdoor hill (temporary) feeling the sea breeze and listening to the ocean waves, SUP, kayaking, Cloud 9 is 15mins boat ride away, went to a small island village and visited a local school, there was traditional island seranders, fijian cooking demos and choir to entertain. It was phenomenal. ||I literally left crying thinking how amazing this experience and how happy, friendly and amazing the staff were. ||I could not recommend any more highly. ||HUGE shout out to Izzy, Nai, Ziggy, Ben, Mark, David, Joe and eveyone else at the Tropica. We can't wait to visit again!!! Thank you! Best hotel we've ever been to!Seaside062121511156/19/2024

The food was amazing as were the activities every day - snorkelling, village tour, kayaking, fish feeding, swimming off the pier and more. Grateful for such a relaxing time at Tropica. We hope to go back soon!
Aidan and Laura B6/06/2024Amazing resort! 😀Very homely and great family vibe from the moment you step off the boat. Food and service was brilliant throughout our stay for the 3 nights/4 days we were here. The beach front pool bure was great, worth the extra $$.Would highly recommend a stay here if you want some peace and serenity in paradise. We will visit again!!Nat Broom5/31/2024We just spent 8 days here, it was amazing! You can do as little or as much as you like. The staff go above and beyond to get to know you and make you part of the family. There are opportunities to get to learn the culture, and food, the infinity pool is the best, Bures comfy, cool and the snorkeling awesome. The weather is hot and the options for kayaking and sups as well as options to participate in happy hour fun games. Ziggy lighting the torches was a highlight for us and the beautiful food served up, certainly an experience and a holiday to remember! We will be back!Miss you all!Gina, Grant, Ness and Scott from NZ.Gina Mitchell5/30/2024Beautiful quiet location, loved that it was adults only, the staff really friendly and went that extra mile, it really did feel that we were a part of their family. The food/menu's would suit all. We would definitely revisit one day real soon.Janine P5/27/2024Simply Must Visit Upon arrival at the resort, the scenery was absolutely stunning. The resort is kept in pristine condition and is beautiful.
We stay in a Beachfront Pool Bure. The accommodation was fabulous. The room was clean, comfortable and everything we were hoping it would be. Photos don’t do it justice.
There are so many free activities to choose from. This just adds a bit of fun to the resort and adds a great vibe. Make sure you go snorkelling here! There is some great coral and lots of fish just off shore.
The staff at the activities hut are all so vibrant and fun. Their happiness and joy is infectious.
My wife and I had 2 paid activities booked (Monuriki Picnic & Sunset Cruise) which required 4 people on each. Unfortunately, we were the only people who had booked for both, but the staff were so accommodating and took us out on each trip anyway, without a fuss whatsoever.
A special mention has to go to the chefs. We could not fault a single meal! Everything we ate was so delicious.
Every member of staff was so friendly. It made you feel welcome and part of their little community. We loved it. You will get to know the staff and they get to know you too.
The only negative we had, was the price. We stayed for 6 nights and paid over $6,000 AUD. This isn’t including food or drink.
Yes, this is expensive, but worth every penny and it’s not enough of a negative to detract from the 5 star review.
Treat yourself. Stay here!Sam5/27/2024INCREDIBLE! Amazing location, loved that it was adults only as well as it made it that extra bit more relaxing. The staff are incredibly friendly and really make you feel like you apart of their family. The food was amazing. They had new activities to do everyday including traditional Fiji activities which is super cool to experience. We will definitely be going back here as soon as we can.
Jo W5/26/2024Fantastic relaxing island retreat Beautiful quiet location, loved that it was adults only, the staff really friendly and went that extra mile, it really did feel that we were a part of their family. The food/menu's would suit all. We would definitely revisit one day real soon.
