This is a very nice property with great views. Very picturesque. The staff is extremely friendly and the food and drinks were quite good. The rooms are called Beach Bulas but none are truly on a beach as there is no beach at the property. They are waterfront and do have beautiful views. It seems like this is common in Fiji to call them a beach property if they have a water view. The rooms are pretty basic and in my opinion are quite pricey for what you get. The room pretty much consisted of a bed, a desk and a daybed which was not comfortable to sit on and I guess was designed for a third person in the room. It would be really nice if they remove the Day beds and put in a couch and end tables. There is no internet in the rooms which is surprising at this price point. The cushions on the daybed and the throw at the foot of the bed we're not very clean. I understand that the resort is closing for 2 months for some upgrades but I'm not sure that would excuse the fact that these items were dirty. There is a dock for arrivals and departures so it is dry rather than a wet departure.

Amazing place very quiet great place to relax with no kids staff even more amazing

Myself and my partner had a 4 night stay at Tropica Island Resort and we could not be happier with our stay and are so grateful to all the staff there who helped make this trip so memorable.||Location: Due to our flight arriving later after the last ferry departs we got a private water taxi with Sea Fiji (kindly organised and arranged by Tropica) the transfer from airport to there port was smooth and a speedy (45 mins) journey to Tropica, despite arriving at 7pm the amazing Ledua greeted us warmly and with a speedy check in process gave us all the information we would need and directly showed us to our ocean front bure with pool. Our return journey we took the ferry which only took an hour, would highly recommend the location if you are staying for a short period of time in Fiji, want to get off the mainland to get that gorgeous Fiji island feel.||Atmosphere: We intended for this stay to be a very relaxing one for us and this resort suited this well! It is a lovely relaxed vibe with the people making the atmosphere warm, welcoming and fun! All the staff we met in passing or in conversation would always greet us with a Bula! After a day staff would know our names and even our meal/drink orders! |To name a few Junior (tended to lead the evening bar during our stay) was so attentive to making sure we were having a great time, always "welcoming us home". The boys IlIesa and Gaby by the activity bure, they made sure to give us all the recommendations of activities to do and places to snorkel or kayak, they also participated in some touch rugby with us which was great fun and It was great to see them having fun in what they do day to day. The lovely ladies at the restaurant were so warm and wanting to conversate with us about our day and remembering our coffee/drink orders! Finally a mention to Ziggy who took time to talk to us about Fijian culture (over some Kava) it was great to hear about the island and the culture of its people.||Cleanliness: Our oceanfront bure with pool was perfect! The room was perfect temperature with air con and fans and room service attended morning and evening for turn down to ensure the room was clean and bottled water topped up. Our pool was also maintained daily and overall grounds we always saw staff working on the grounds to maintain the beautiful surroundings.||For those considering a special occasion, we got engaged here and it was made to be extra memorable, the staff did everything to make sure we were having the most special evening. We had a gorgeous meal (also huge mention to the chefs as all our meals were outstanding) at a private table specifically created on the resorts pier, it was gorgeous during sun set and the lovely lady (we are so sorry we can't remember her name, she will know who she is!!) who accommodated us that evening was genuinely so happy for our engagement despite only knowing us for a day by this point, she ensured every moment of the night was perfect.||Overall we would highly recommend staying at Tropica Island Resort, it's adults only and a relatively small resort making the environment perfect if you are wanting a relaxed stay in a gorgeous setting, the people are what make this resort so we say Vinaka to you all 💙

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff were next level in their great service. Activities were epic, every day we went on boat trips to snorkel different reefs, the captain Ile is very knowledgeable and knows all the best spots. We surfed cloud break multiple times and scored epic waves. Rooms were super clean and well looked after. Food was also amazing and they change the menu every night which was a great surprise.

I spent six days at Tropica Island Resort on a solo trip, and it was one of the most relaxing travel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything felt easy, calm, and well taken care of. They also sing to you upon arrival and departure and it’s such a warm, nice touch!The resort itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with great amenities like the outdoor show, individual pool, massages on the point, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for unwinding. I loved that snorkeling was offered directly through the resort and that I could coordinate everything seamlessly with the front desk — no stress, no outside vendors, just effortless planning. The front desk was also incredibly easy to work with via email, and they helped me arrange all of my transportation, including the boat to and from the island, which made the entire experience smooth from start to finish.I visited during rainy season, which turned out to be a blessing because I indulged in the spa package with Wati, and it was incredible!!The food throughout my stay was so delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care.What truly sets Tropica apart, though, is the staff. Every single person went above and beyond to make guests feel genuinely welcome and cared for. My girl Laiti, Moses, Amelia, Captain Joe, Iliesa and so many others that I don’t remember their name, were all exceptional — warm, attentive, and kind in a way that felt completely sincere. They made the resort feel less like a hotel and more like a family.One moment that really stood out: while snorkeling, a guest accidentally dropped her iPhone into the water. illiesa didn’t hesitate — he went out of his way, drove back out, and somehow managed to retrieve it. I couldn’t believe the level of effort and care. That moment perfectly captured the spirit of the staff and their commitment to guests.By the time I left, I genuinely felt sad to go. Tropica Island Resort isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience defined by warmth, generosity, and true hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough and would return in a heartbeat!!!

Mornings started with a swim, and evenings ended with a peaceful dip while listening to the ocean! it was pure relaxation.||The resort itself is stunning. The beachside infinity pool looks out over the bluest water, and the island location makes you feel completely surrounded by nature, yet it’s surprisingly easy to get to with just one ferry from the mainland. The food and drinks were delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, and every meal felt like a special experience. I loved the curry! ||One of my favorite parts of my stay was the atmosphere. Because the resort is small and adults only, it was easy to meet other guests and make meaningful connections. Conversations happened naturally, whether at dinner, by the pool, or during water activities. It felt social without ever being overwhelming.||The free ocean activities like snorkeling and paddle boarding were such a bonus, and the water was crystal clear. What a lovely place. Relaxed and friendly staff that Bula you at every meeting....they are able to remember your name and your preferences so feels very homely. Rooms are large and well set out and it was what we needed....and no TV!!|We had our own pool to sit around at night over a last nightcap. Snorkeling is relaxed and easy straight off the beach.|Cocktail bar was amazing with lots of nightly entertaining and Amelia really sorted us some enjoyable drinks. So much more personal than a large resort so relaxing, would definitely go back.

This was our first holiday without our children in over 26 years and was an absolutely relaxing delight.The location and resort itself is fantastic.The wonderful food, drink, activities and amenities are fantastic,but what makes it truly special is the staff. They were without a doubt the friendliest, helpful and obliging group of legends that we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You all made our special holiday so wonderful. Thank you.

Peace and relaxation in paradise The Tropica family looked after us from the minute we arrived. No need for a watch or my phone, just slot into Island time, swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking, cocktails and yummy food. This was my first visit to Fiji and I already want to come back. The goodbye serenade as we left was beautiful. Sota Tale!

It was very quiet and the Bure was spotlessly clean and very comfortable 👍 the staff were amazing 🙏 a special thank you to Vina for making us feel so welcome, Joey our daily housekeeper, V the poolside bartender for keeping us hydrated, Frances who was always very friendly and had a wonderful smile and Izzy of whom shared with us many different cultural aspects of Fiji 🇫🇯🙏 A good amount of daily activities supplied by the resort which we certainly took advantage of 🇫🇯🐠🏝️🪹kayaking out to rock 🪨 island was amazing 👍 there was no internet or tv but it gave us time to explore the beach and the ocean 🐠🦀🐚🪸🏖️🌴 and to reconnect ❤️ forever grateful for your hospitality and your smiles …. 7 Days in Paradise We stayed at this resort for 7 marvelous days. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The dinner menu rotated nightly but there was also an all day menu.
We had an amazing time with plenty to do like swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. There were also other adventures that cost extra.
The spa services were plenty and I had 2 massages during the week. Both were deep massages and also relaxing.
Our Bure (hut) was right on the water and it was fun to watch the low and high tides. The hut had the bed, couch and desk when you first entered, with lots of floor space. The toilet was in a closed off space and we had access to two private showers, one inside and one outside.

We had an amazing stay at tropica. The food, snorkeling, our beach burr and the staff were phenomenal. The staff is very welcoming including Vina, Latin, Emilia, Joe and David. We spent hours every morning snorkeling, enjoyed fish feeding, Fijian night and happy hour. Highly recommended

Tropica Island Resort was the most perfect place for our honeymoon! The staff were so amazing and treated us like we were their family throughout our entire stay - remembering our names, our life story, getting to know us personally and using this in daily conversation. At the beginning of our trip we were told 'welcome home'. This could not have been more true - by the end of the trip, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family!|The food was amazing - we arrived on Fijian night which had authentic entertainment and Fijian food for entree, main and dessert. For the rest of our stay, my husband especially loved the lunch menu and I enjoyed that the dinner menu changed each night. |The cleanliness of the whole resort is unmatched. There was never anything even remotely out of place. Our rooms were serviced and cleaned each morning as well as a turn-down service in the evening. |Our room was a pool suite and we were worried that we might be missing out on the beach front bure however it was so private, so luxurious and so comfortable that we did not mind at all! The plunge pool with the day bed was so amazing to come back to after a day of activities provided by the staff e.g. snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fish feeding, coconut demonstration and the list goes on! |We will be back and we will be recommending Tropica to all of our friends! |Maddie and Nathan.
