We had a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations! We loved our stay at Tropica! The food, the people, the island, the pool(s), the activities and more were all great! Once we got on the 'boat transfer' from the main ferry (sadly not helicopter) we felt like a part of one big family. I didn't know that it was possibly to get this type of feeling from a hotel/resort, but in fact that's what we experienced. We just about cried when we left!! Our stay was perfect - truly nothing to complain about! If I were to however provide a little constructive feedback: - The noise/sound level and choice of songs next to the infinity pool should be a little bit more consistent and lower. Hahaha... I think sometimes some of the staff get a little too carried away with their own playlists (at times the songs were pretty funny, hence this was not much of a problem). I would just e.g., propose "electronic beachside lounge" music from Spotify during the daytime. - Most staff wore name tags most or all of the time, but some did not and that was too bad, because we were a bit unsure about the names of some of the staff, even for some of the one's we talked a lot with. When you (almost) become friends during the week you don't want to embarrass yourself too many times when you're bad at remembering lots of new names. - It's fine that there's... - It's fine that there's no Wifi up in the cabins/bules, but it would be nice if the Wifi in the reception area had a little stronger signal to handle "everyone" at peak times.
- More pool towels at the pool ready to use would be nice!
Again, we loved our stay and the constructive feedback is only for you guys to become "even more perfect".
Say hello to Sam, Eva, Sugar, Paté and the other great staff members that I forget the names of!! MorePowderwatcher8/09/2022Absolutely stunning location. We just came back from 3 nights at Tropica and wished we had more time there. The beachfront pool bure that we stayed in was pure luxury, right on the beach and many little touches made our holiday the best I’ve ever had. Infinity plunge pool, outdoor shower and daily canapés and drinks were provided each afternoon. Sitting on the swing chair of our Bure we watched the sunset and rejoiced at the sheer beauty and tranquility of the resort. All the staff were amazing, and we cannot thank them enough for a fantastic holiday. The meals were simply amazing. I don’t think I’ve eaten so well ever. Loved the chef’s pastries at breakfast and the changing menu each evening. We snorkelled off the beach, and did two boat trips out to a sandbar and also the reef and was the best snorkelling.I highly recommend staying at this resort. We will definitely be coming back again.
Kelly O'Donnell8/06/2022Just wonderful We stayed here for 5 fabulous nights. The location is perfect and the pool area so beautiful but the highlight was the fantastic staff. It is a small resort and so friendly and personal with many of the staff calling you by name from the first day and everyone is helpful and friendly. The day and evening activities are fun for those who want a more active holiday but it’s also perfect for just reading by the pool and doing nothing. The plunge pool is a great bonus for cooling off and the main pool is big enough to exercise if that’s what you want to do but also great for a dip between eating/reading/lounging. Two snorkel trips were also great and stand up paddle boarding fun too. Adi gave me a beautiful massage at the spa to finish off my stay. Adults only is also a huge draw card for us. I loved Tropica and was sad to leave. More
t0ngau8/03/2022So beautiful you will not want to leave We absolutely loved this resort, the location, ammenities and staff were all exceptional. We liked it so much we tried to extend our stay but we’re not able to due to capacity.
You feel like you are part of a family at this resort.
The food was fantastic and we thought it was extremely well priced as the quality and variety was so good.
We did a number of the day snorkelling trips and had fantastic experiences.
I started planning my next trip to Tropica before I had even left Fiji
If I could give it 7 stars I wouldChristopher O8/03/2022Amazing holiday Can't ask for more when it comes to a relaxing holiday. The friendliness of the team is beyond any expectations and the welcoming into the tropice family is a beautiful experience in its own.
Great location, food and general facilities.
Romantic dinner on the peer is a mustZiArb7/31/2022We went for my 40th birthday and it was the best decision to celebrate here! From the time we got on the boat to the resort to the time we go back on to leave, crying I might add, it was spectacular! Everyone was there was family and I truly mean that. The food, drinks, location, accommodations were perfect! I cannot wait to go back!!! I made some new friends and still communicate with some of the wonderful people working there! Book it now or you will regret it!!!!!!! I will be back for sure!!
Kimberly Hamilton7/29/2022Sunsets, amazing staff, incredible experiences.. oh and the food! So much to like about Tropica! its barefoot luxury. Boutique, intimate with an incredible team. Its away from the big crowds and that just relaxes you immediately.. The spa is brilliant, experiences superb, and the staff really are like family. A beautiful resort, quintessentially Fijian.
BrentHillFiji7/29/2022One of the best holidays we have had! Words cannot clearly express how much we loved staying at this resort.
Allowing only a limited amount of guests means it is a very personal experience.
By the second day all the staff knew and addressed us on a first name basis.
The staff where fantastic and the natural Beauty of this island is incredible.
If you like big resorts with multiple restaurants, big screen TV's and unlimited WIFI connection where the staff treat you like a number then do not come to this resort.
The accomodation was private, simple, clean and very comfortable.
If you and your partner are looking for a Romantic escape and want to escape the busy (noisy)world and rekindle your appreciating of nature then I would highly recommend this resort.
Also compared to other resorts (particularly in Australia ) it is fantastic Value for money.
There are plenty of activities you can choose to do (snorkelling, reef visits, Kayaking, stand up paddle boarding ) or you can do nothing.
My wife actually cried when the staff sang their local goodbye song as we left.
We will be back!
Damien (From Sunshine Coast , Australia ) Moredamienw6437/23/2022I have just returned from my relaxing break at Tropica Island resort and it was wonderful. The staff are so lovely, accommodating and happy. We stayed in a Beachside Bure with a pool, this was just perfect for us and I will definitely return again next year. It was paradise for me.Thank you to the staff for looking after us so well.
Jo Nielsen7/17/2022Love this place! Is a perfect location, staff are all lovely. Good number of activites. I would highly recommend the ocean view bure with the plunge pool.We will be back again for sure.
MrOli19737/15/2022What an excellent adults only resort (no noisy kids splashing around in the pool). The only problem I can think of is that you get so relaxed it’s hard to convince yourself into doing any activity at all. The tranquility is all around you from the infinity pool to the swaying palms lining the foreshore or the outside showers in the quaint cozy bures. What really makes this place fantastic is the staff, from cleaners, gardeners, waiters to the GM. They are so happy in very genuine manner, it’s contagious and you will find your spirits lifted and that your just a part of the team, your roll, to relax and enjoy yourself.
Peter Weaving Photography7/14/2022Welcome Home! From the moment you step foot on the dock until you leave, you will feel right at home. The only lifting you'll be doing is with drinks and your luggage appears in the right places. We didn't get a good plan and it was effortless. No lines, no waits, no stress, and no worries the whole trip. Make sure to bring some extra in the budget for the daily adventures because everyone we did was awesome. Plenty of activities to do, and wifi in the main lounge/pool if you can't fully unplug on your trip. Can't wait to go back!
Sean7/11/2022Authentic Fijian luxury bliss We were booked in for a 5 star experience at the Sofitel in Denaru but my (big pregnant) gut was saying that this was not going to be the experience we were looking for. I wanted something authentic as opposed to a typical Western style place where you could insert the resort into any country. I took a punt and booked Tropica, a top decision! Molalo island has natural beauty so you don't need to pay for boat rides from a tourist manufactured location (Denaru) to experience the amazing pacific beauty. The other awesome thing about Tropica is there are only 25 Bure (hut's) so that means ~50 guests, as opposed to a cast of thousands. I loved our room, spacious and a suitable level of luxury. I was gutted when booking that I couldn't get a Bure with a private pool but in hindsight our sea front hut was a better option. The service is 5 star in my opinion. There's only one restaurant but the range of options are fantastic. 4 nights was long for us. More
MellieMel17/10/2022The experiences and the resort itself was fantastic but what made our trip was the people. Without a doubt we felt like apart of their family for the week and have been trying to avoid crying in our goodbyes all morning. It is a wonderful place dull if beautiful people. Hands down will be back there again.Lots of love to our Tropica Family,Laura
Laura Cree7/10/2022Beautiful honeymoon stay Honeymoon stay. Tropica is a small and intimate resort. The staff know you by name. What is important is what Tropica does not the have.
No children
No TVs
No wifi in rooms
No jet skis
It’s just a super chilled place.
The resort has only reopened since April 2022 and is still ironing out some maintenance and wrinkles that don’t effect having a great holiday. The reef off the resort is badly bleached. However there are lots of fish. We took the resort boat trip to Garden reef for snorkeling and that was awesome. Also I can recommend the sunset boat trip.
There is a Fijian feast and Java ceremony and singing (warning: audience participation) on Friday nights so ensure that your stay has a Friday in it. And try the Pina Coladas!
I can also recommend that you avoid Manamuca express ( not associated with Tropica) for Denaru to Malolo transfer. We paid for transfer service and their inflexibility with timing meant that we couldn’t use them.
Bula to Desmond and the staff there
Loved our stay MoreHaka9997/06/2022Awesome Tropica experience and visit We recently spent 4 nights out at Tropica Reort on Mololo Island, Fiji, great Bure (#104). Staff and everyone we really friendly, great family-like atmosphere, being only 23-24 Bure's it's all very personal. Plenty of Excursion oprions, great snorkeling and diving trips, thoroughly recommend this as a destination.
