10/10 honeymoon experience My husband and I came for 2 nights initially on our honeymoon and immediately decided to stay longer. The staff made us feel at home and were amazingly sweet and kind. Our bartender V knew what we wanted before we even knew. V’s drink were the perfect level of alcohol and had us feeling amazing our whole time here. He and the staff knew us by name and were very attentive, they by far made our trip 10/10. The resort and rooms were perfect for the intimate honeymoon vibes. The spa was just as incredible, the two massages and facials had me feeling like I was on cloud nine with their magical hands. I highly recommend the personal pool and outdoor shower too. We can’t wait to come back again and spend more time at Tropica.
Chelsie O8/22/2025Warm, inviting and wonderful We recently returned from a one week stay in the paradise that is Tropica Island Resort. We knew we were in for a treat when we were welcomed with song and hugs. Our oceanfront pool bure was spacious and very well equipped. The outdoor shower is a great touch. The staff there have obviously been trained to welcome everyone whenever they see them walking around. It’s a reflection of the resorts mission to provide a welcoming atmosphere that highlights Fijian hospitality. Everyone from the groundskeepers to the food servers to the bartenders to the spa workers went out of their way to make us feel at home and taken care of. We especially enjoyed our rejuvenation package which included a total of six massage treatments Wati and Quinie we’re wonderful. The breakfast were delicious and plentiful. Lunch by the pool was always great. Due to the dramatic rise and fall of the tides, the beach is not available for parts of the day. However, when the tide is out, there are wonderful seashells to be found. We spent most of our time by the pool, enjoying the calming music and swaying palm trees. It’s very true that the sun goes to sleep in Fiji. The sunset views are dramatic and fabulous. We have hundreds of pictures of the various sunsets we saw over the course of the week. Sunrise was also beautiful. Although we didn’t want to leave, another serenade and hug session from the staff, as we boarded, our boat, made the departure a bit easier In summary, we couldn’t recommend this place more. You can’t go wrong!
Charles P8/22/2025Adults only, easy to get to from main marina, Denarua, quiet, picturesque, amazing staff, geat room. Wanting to disconnect from modern rat race, eat well, superb panoramic islands views, safe swimming, fantastic personal attention by staff memorizing your name and likes within first day and no kids..then Tropica is the resort for you. We booked six nights, beachfront pool bure in August 2025. Large room, ultra quiet, shuttered windows, outside private shower, clean and modern. 40m stroll along flat path to pool and restaurant past the happy hour Lako Mai bar 5-6pm. Staff make you family all you have to do is be relaxed and interract. Viri, Latia, Amelia, Ziggy, Mosese, Laisa, Junior, Fina, Sonny, Izzie, Illie, you blessed us with your warmth and made every day a pleasure..Cocktails amazing, food plentiful, well cooked and bar open till last man standing. We are now on our second week in Fiji at a big luxury priced resort and struggling with crowd, dinner booking hassles, highly priced meals so next year its Tropica for us. Lee the GM made time each night to chat, even contract staff Troy was friendly and cared.
Mark m8/15/2025BulaI had a wonderful stay at this resort, and the staff were truly the highlight - friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond. However, there were a few things that didn't quite meet my expectations. The breakfast didn't include espresso coffee, and if you wanted to order extra food, you had to pay extra, which felt a bit steep. The island itself is beautiful, but the coastline is rocky and there's no sandy beach, which was a bit of a disappointment, I imagined a bure on the white sand As for lunch and dinner, I wasn't blown away by the options - different tastes and preferences make it hard to please everyone, you need to pay at least 100$ pp for a 3 course dinner that is not to your liking. On the other hand, the massage package we booked was spectacular! The therapists were super professional, and the location was stunning. We also had a lovely picnic on the island near the resort, but I would suggest to chenge the beach for this beautiful experience Unfortunately, the beach near the resort was littered with trash, plastic bottles, and even abandoned appliances, which was a real shame.Despite these drawbacks, I'd still recommend this resort for its exceptional staff and beautiful surroundings. Next time, I'd consider a resort with buffet-style lunch and dinner options. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions about what they're looking for in a resort stay 🌴🏖️"VinakaMarika Suglia8/13/2025Ultimate Relaxation in Paradise The location, the accommodation, the staff, the food, the resort facilities Everything combined to make it the most relaxing holiday we've ever had! Oh and the cocktails! Vi the bartender, made the most delicious cocktails we've ever had, and we kept him busy making plenty of them! 😄 A holiday at Tropica Resort is like visiting your Fijian family 💖 The staff are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We've already booked to come back next year! The best holiday we've ever had! 🏝🍹🌺🌞💖
Lisa B8/03/2025Exceptional resort and hospitality My second time at Tropica this time for a full week. Absolutely perfect place to unwind with the option to snorkel, kayak or use stand up paddle boards.
The staff are simply amazing. Warm and friendly, provide exceptional service and we could not fault anything. The food is simply amazing and each day there was lots of variety and the portion sizes were perfect.
We have stayed in both the Beachfront pool bure and the Sanctuary suite with plunge pool. We loved both of them. Well done for continuing to create a
truly memorable experience and continuing to provide such a welcoming place.
Very sad to leave our Tropica family but rest assured we will be back.Kelly O7/24/2025Tropica felt like visiting family This was our first stay in Fiji and it was a beautiful resort. The grounds and facilities were excellent but the staff really made the resort. Every staff member we ever passed smiled, said bula, asked us how we were going and seemed genuinely happy to be working there.
The included breakfast was lovely, food was always well presented and nice. We had 2 menus to order from for lunch and dinner, that was varied enough, but might have struggled for more than a week. The seafood pier soecial dinner experience was outstanding!! Service, food and environment was very special.
Our only constructive criticism is that this resort could be 4.5 to 5 stars instead if 4, with just a few staff trainings on consistency. Housekeeping was great but never left all replacement towels etc but took all used ones . restaurant staff were lovely, but we never got cup, saucer, teaspoon and milk to go with our breakfast tea or coffee service, such an easy way to step up. They could have sold way more drinks by the pool if they walked around asking if we needed anything. These are tiny things but really would have elevated our experience.
We loved our stay at Tropica and will return. Our beachfront pool burè was stunning and the staff were outstandingly friendly. The transfers they arranged for us were perfectly executed and price was on point for this resort.Byrne Family7/24/2025Top Notch Fiji Hotel One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Service top notch and staff even better. Greeted and left with local native songs and ceremony. Food excellent. Best in staff was our bar tender Amelia who made us drinks and delivered some of our food. She got to know us and pre made some of our drinks. SUPER kind lady and person. Rooms very clean, large and comfortable. Had our own outdoor shower and private pool. We will definitely go back when we revisit Fiji and Amelia.
Robert B7/24/2025Unforgettable holiday Tropica Island Resort is a little piece of paradise! We lived five dream days for our honeymoon in a wonderful place, characterized by a breathtaking landscape, where you lose track of time!
All the staff was very kind and extremely helpful. We thank, first of all, Viri, the manager of the structure, for meeting our every request! Then we thank Moses and Junior in particular, for their sympathy, the joy they put in their work and for making us feel at home!
A special mention goes to the Chef, we enjoyed all the dishes on the menu!
We will not easily forget this holiday! Bula!Beatrice A7/14/2025Beautiful and Relaxing My husband and I and the pleasure of staying at Tropica during our honeymoon. Upon arrival the staff will great you with a welcome song and beverage. We highly recommend a Burre with a private plunge pool. Be sure to take the kayaks out to "Rock Island". Just beyond Rock Island is some of the most incredible snorkeling you'll ever see. We also recommend taking a sunset cruise at least one night, although you can see a beautiful sunset during happy hour as well. It's just a 15-minute boat ride from Cloud 9, which is a floating bar and a once in a lifetime experience.
Kate S7/12/2025What a beautiful tranquil island with the most beautiful genuinely friendly staff in every part of the resort. This island resort is so tranquil and raw The beach bure’s with a plunge pool are so beautiful and the staff are so genuine and friendly giving a 5 star service. The moment you step foot on the island you relax into Fiji time. There are many activities to choose from and the spa is great. One of the BEST facials i have ever had, the Tropica Signature Facial by my therapist Quinine. I was transported to another zone, i have had many facials over the years but nothing beats this, she works magic with her hands, amazing relaxing massage. So, so grateful what a treat! A must when staying at this resort. Thank again from Sweet Caroline. Note: if
you are looking for a white sandy beach this island doesnt have it but has so much more. Great relaxing stay!Caroline M7/11/2025Easy to get to from Pt Denarau, we were warmly greeted by beautiful singing and smiling faces. Bure 17 was fantastic. Close to everything but quiet and no-one walking past to get to their Bure. Magic sunsets, staff that couldn’t do enough for you. For what we paid for 5 nights and with the ‘breakfast included’, we looked forward to something special. It was not. I am not a “Karen” and am always honest , good and bad in reviews. The omelette was filling and delicious , which we both had the last 2 mornings after not good experiences trying different things the other 3 mornings. Considering there is only limited guests, the time to bring food was sometimes over 30 minutes. I wouldn’t have minded if we were getting something great. We had a couple of really delicious night time meals but the rest pretty average. The pizza was the winner for lunch and we shared a burger and chips one other day which was tasty. Got excited for Happy Hour which has the best view, but with $30 cocktails now $25 and $15 beers now $12….it wasn that Happy !! After coming from the Sofitel where happy hour was FREE beer and cocktails including canapés …..|Again, the staff were amazing. The karaoke Happy Hour was my favourite with everyone joining in to me having a go at singing. The free kayaks are a must do, with beauty in and out of the water. Beautiful place to go to relax, unwind , no children and be waited on hand and foot.|Stand out staff were Sonny, Izzy, Nai, Leah (my hubby paid her wage for the year), Epeli, Fi & Sherry.||One thing that really disappointed us, was the Manager of the resort was walking around or eating in the restaurant most nights and never once tried to interact with any guests. He could have introduced himself, asked if we were enjoying ourselves ? How is everything ? Found this very lack lustre. Lucky the staff made this holiday still amazing.PaulaQld7/10/2025Destination Perfect, Staff Amazing, Food average Easy to get to from Pt Denarau, we were warmly greeted by beautiful singing and smiling faces. We spent 5 nights here in June 2025 in a beachfront pool bure. It was heavenly and I feel lucky to have even been somewhere so beautiful. The water in the pool was too cool to enjoy but that did not subtract from the beauty of the views or feeling the warmth from the employees. The culture of the people is what makes Tropica so special. The staff is absolutely amazing and make you forget that they are getting paid to help you. They are so kind and genuine and truly care about their guests and the success of Tropica. Stay here. You will not regret it.Crystal Ross6/28/2025Lovely location! The rooms have a fantastic view! In addition to the public pool, our room has a private plunge pool, which was convenient and a nice touch. All rooms have an amazing outdoor shower! Great water pressure with lots of hot water.
