Staying at Tropica Island Resort was truly one of my favorite travel experiences. From the moment I arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into a little island family. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure every guest had an amazing stay. Getting here from the Nadi airport in Fiji was super easy and stress-free. It required zero planning because the resort handled everything!I work remotely, so having reliable WiFi was important to me, and Tropica completely delivered. The WiFi in the main areas was fast and consistent, which made it easy to balance work with island life. Being able to take calls with an ocean view and then jump straight into the water afterward felt unreal.I stayed in the oceanside bungalow with a private pool, and I can’t recommend it enough. Having my own pool right outside my bungalow was such a luxury. Mornings started with a swim, and evenings ended with a peaceful dip while listening to the ocean! it was pure relaxation.The resort itself is stunning. The beachside infinity pool looks out over the bluest water, and the island location makes you feel completely surrounded by nature, yet it’s surprisingly easy to get to with just one ferry from the mainland. The food and drinks were delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, and every meal felt like a special experience. I loved the curry!One of my favorite parts of my stay was the atmosphere. Because the resort is small and adults only, it was easy to meet other guests and make meaningful connections. Conversations happened naturally, whether at dinner, by the pool, or during water activities. It felt social without ever being overwhelming.The free ocean activities like snorkeling and paddle boarding were such a bonus, and the water was crystal clear. If you’re looking for a peaceful, adults-only vacation either solo, with a partner or even friends, Tropica Island Resort is truly something special. This was our first holiday without our children in over 26 years and was an absolutely relaxing delight.The location and resort itself is fantastic.The wonderful food, drink, activities and amenities are fantastic,but what makes it truly special is the staff. They were without a doubt the friendliest, helpful and obliging group of legends that we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You all made our special holiday so wonderful. Thank you.

Peace and relaxation in paradise The Tropica family looked after us from the minute we arrived. No need for a watch or my phone, just slot into Island time, swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking, cocktails and yummy food. This was my first visit to Fiji and I already want to come back. The goodbye serenade as we left was beautiful. Sota Tale!

7 Days in Paradise We stayed at this resort for 7 marvelous days. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The dinner menu rotated nightly but there was also an all day menu.
We had an amazing time with plenty to do like swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. There were also other adventures that cost extra.
The spa services were plenty and I had 2 massages during the week. Both were deep massages and also relaxing.
Our Bure (hut) was right on the water and it was fun to watch the low and high tides. The hut had the bed, couch and desk when you first entered, with lots of floor space. The toilet was in a closed off space and we had access to two private showers, one inside and one outside.

It was very quiet and the Bure was spotlessly clean and very comfortable 👍 the staff were amazing 🙏 a special thank you to Vina for making us feel so welcome, Joey our daily housekeeper, V the poolside bartender for keeping us hydrated, Frances who was always very friendly and had a wonderful smile and Izzy of whom shared with us many different cultural aspects of Fiji 🇫🇯🙏 A good amount of daily activities supplied by the resort which we certainly took advantage of 🇫🇯🐠🏝️🪹kayaking out to rock 🪨 island was amazing 👍 there was no internet or tv but it gave us time to explore the beach and the ocean 🐠🦀🐚🪸🏖️🌴 and to reconnect ❤️ forever grateful for your hospitality and your smiles …. The staff were so amazing and treated us like we were their family throughout our entire stay - remembering our names, our life story, getting to know us personally and using this in daily conversation. At the beginning of our trip we were told 'welcome home'. This could not have been more true - by the end of the trip, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family!|The food was amazing - we arrived on Fijian night which had authentic entertainment and Fijian food for entree, main and dessert. For the rest of our stay, my husband especially loved the lunch menu and I enjoyed that the dinner menu changed each night. |The cleanliness of the whole resort is unmatched. There was never anything even remotely out of place. Our rooms were serviced and cleaned each morning as well as a turn-down service in the evening. |Our room was a pool suite and we were worried that we might be missing out on the beach front bure however it was so private, so luxurious and so comfortable that we did not mind at all! The plunge pool with the day bed was so amazing to come back to after a day of activities provided by the staff e.g. snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fish feeding, coconut demonstration and the list goes on! |We will be back and we will be recommending Tropica to all of our friends! |Maddie and Nathan.

Tropica has everything you could ever want!Amazing food, outstanding service, beautiful accommodation, great activities, wonderful staff, breathtaking views… just everything.I’m actually writing this review while staying at another resort in Fiji and although I’m enjoying it, we really miss Tropica. You just can’t top it!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and cannot rave enough. It was such a wonderful relaxing experience. The staff were incredible and made us feel so welcome and the entire resort is just a magical place to be. 10/10 would absolutely recommend!

We absolutely loved our honeymoon stay at Tropica Island Resort! The staff were incredible – so warm, friendly, and genuinely made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The service was flawless, and every detail was taken care of with so much care and kindness. The resort itself is stunning – beautiful grounds, crystal-clear water, and the most peaceful atmosphere. We loved the activities and learning about the culture. We had come from a big resort on the main island, but this was the true Fijian experience, and we are so glad we spent 5 nights on Tropica. The spa massages were also amazing; it truly was bliss. We can’t wait to come back!

Tropica Relaxing What a lovely place. Relaxed and friendly staff that Bula you at every meeting .they are able to remember your name and your preferences so feels very homely. Rooms are large and well set out and it was what we needed .and no TV!!
We had our own pool to sit around at night over a last nightcap. Snorkeling is relaxed and easy straight off the beach.
Cocktail bar was amazing with lots of nightly entertaining and Amelia really sorted us some enjoyable drinks. So much more personal than a large resort so relaxing, would definitely go back.

Amazing relaxing trip We had an amazing stay at tropica. The food, snorkeling, our beach burr and the staff were phenomenal. The staff is very welcoming including Vina, Latin, Emilia, Joe and David. We spent hours every morning snorkeling, enjoyed fish feeding, Fijian night and happy hour. Highly recommended

Amazing experience Stunning location with breathtaking scenery! The real magic, though, is the people — Kitione, Ziggy, Mosese, Viri, and the whole team are simply amazing. There’s never a dull moment with so many activities happening all the time, yet it’s still the perfect place to relax. Can’t wait to come back!

A good, quiet 4 star resort We specifically chose Tropica because it was adults only and faced west so we would get the sunset. It is closer to Nadi than we usually stay, but we still took a helicopter there which was great - meant we had virtually a whole extra day there as our bure was ready when we arrived at about 11am.
It is a small resort so never felt busy. because of its location there is no service road round the back of the resort so when sitting out the front of our beach front bure at certain times of day there was a constant stream of staff or vehicles back and forth. For that reason, I would recommend staying in one of the bures behind the restaurant, as being beachfront wasn't that great - it is not a particularly stunning beach and there are no beach loungers/umbrellas etc.
The bures are quite plain and basically fitted out - no bathrobes or wine glasses (first world problem!) and no wifi, which for some is a blessing and worked well for us.
The Rejuvenation Package was great value and we chose not to by the Meal Package as in the past that has led to us overeating. In the end, we saved money doing that.
Some of the meals were fabulous, and none were bad. And as ever, the friendliness of the staff was wonderfully friendly.

Outstanding experience! If you love snorkeling, this is your spot! We spent 12 days at Tropica and had an amazing time. The staff are very kind and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The snorkeling right off the beach is AMAZING. We had many "favorite" staff! They were all outstanding. The singing! They can REALLY sing! We were captivated each time they sang for us. The food is delicious and the rooms are comfortable and they provide whatever you need. There are many day trips available via resort boats and captains. We have snorkeled many different places and we were blown away by the snorkeling both at the resort and nearby. We really loved the Garden Reef Snorkel trip, Sandbar Snorkel trip and Cloud 9 day trip. You can see unique sea life and coral at each spot. We also did the Castaway Island day trip. It was really cool to see the site where the movie was filmed. I recommend watching it before you go if you haven't seen it. It changes the experience. Highly recommend the resort. If you are on the fence you will be glad you chose Tropica.
